Gospel of John Series - Yet a Time Is Coming and has now come...
“Yet a time is coming and has now come…” Part 1 John 4:3-26 I walk frequently to exercise and to listen and talk with God. Jesus must have walked twenty miles or more from Judea to Sychar. This makes me think about his weariness in flesh yet revived in the Spirit’s leading that day at the well near Sychar. Let’s look at the text, “So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.” It doesn’t say if the trip was done in a day, or two, but still that is a good pace for 5 hours (7am-12:00 noon).
