The Bread of Life - Receiving God’s Seal of Approval Part 1 John 6:23-35 In our world, most everyone desires to have the approval of their peers, some for the right reasons others for their own selfish prideful reasons. Jesus came into the world not to seek the approval of the sinful people he came to save, but to do the work of God, thus doing the work of God, he would receive the approval of God. Let’s look at the first portion of the text, “ Then some boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the people had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. Once the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum in search of Jesus. When they found him on the other side of the lake, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.”` The people who had foll...

Oldest woven basket in the world found in Israel, dates back 10,000 years By ROSSELLA TERCATIN   Published: MARCH 16, 2021 20:37 Jerusalem Post “You Feed Them” John 6:1-15 In keeping with the purpose and plan of God, Jesus is being led by the Spirit through the Galilean region. Let’s look at the text, “Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples.” Jesus and the disciples have been living in the Galilean region along the sea of Galilee. Jesus has been teaching and healing: Peter’s mother-in-law, two paralytic men, the man with leprosy, centurion’s servant, calming of the storm on the sea of Galilee, dead girl and lady with issue of blood, and the blind and the mute, and the list goes on. Jesus was fulfilling the scripture of the coming m...

If ITestify… John 5:31-47 I have always enjoyed testimony times at fellowship meetings. The testifying of what God had done in the life or situations his disciples face while walking with Jesus, though there are those who testify about themselves which is what Jesus warns about in this lesson. Now, John is testifying about Jesus as a witness. Let’s look at the text, “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true. “You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth. Not that I accept human testimony; but I mention it that yo...
