                                For the Fear of the Lord is Core to Every Act of Faith  Proverbs 9:7-12 Between the two invitations is the wise advice to the man or woman who will fear God and heed the wise words from God through this proverb. Again, it all hinges on the fear of God, for it is our source and foundation of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God’s will and purpose. Let’s begin with the terms in the Hebrew, the word used in this proverb for mocker is L ēṣ. In the Hebrew language, the nouns Luts and La’eg are also words translated as mocker or scoffer.                 Lady Wisdom’s Obverse, Dame Folly Proverbs 9:13-18 Last week Lady Wisdom had the invitations out, to all who would seek God’s way and His wisdom. This week I’m going to pass v. 7-12 until next week and teach Dame Folly’s beckoning compared to Lady Wisdom’s invitation.  A friend and I at the end of High school, decided to go to a professional Wrestling Match at a place called the Cow Palace. Neither of us had ever been to such an event. Well the people who attended this event were rough, brash, vulgar, boisterous, and unruly. The leader of the brashness was a woman called Ringside Rosie. She yelled, spit, cursed at those in the ring and those outside. She was audacious, and very imprudent. And she led the large group of retirees in chants of mayhem to their delight.
