  Wisdom     Folly Hearts and Minds Teemed with Intentions Proverbs 10:23-32 (NKJV) When I think of the depravity of the heart and mind of mankind, I reflect on three verses. “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” “ Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.” ( Jeremiah 17:9-10; Rom. 1:28) And the Holy Spirit spoke truly about the mind in James “ A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (1:8 KJV) In this proverb Solomon contrasts and contends with the hearts and minds of mankind.   Sabiduría     Locura Corazones y Mentes Rebosantes de Intenciones Proverbios 10:23-32 (NVI) Cuando pienso en la depravación del corazón y de la mente de la humanidad, reflexiono en tres versículos. “Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas y sin cura. ¿Quién puede entenderlo?” “Yo el Caballero busca en el corazón y examinar la mente, para recompensar a cada uno conforme a su conducta, conforme a lo que merecen sus obras.” Además, así como ellos no consideraron que valiera la pena retener el conocimiento de Dios, Dios los entregó a una mente reprobada, para que hagan lo que no deben hacer.         A Disciplined Life Proverbs 10:13-22 Instruction, wisdom, understanding, spiritual wealth, and godly lips are the elements of a Godly disciplined life, and lacking understanding, a foolish tongue, poverty, rebelliousness and straying from the truth, destruction, and sorrow are the elements of an undisciplined one. Solomon contrasts these two elements as the heart and mind conditions of the godly wise and the foolish wise. So let’s read the first portion of the text. “Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has understanding, but a rod is for the back of him who is devoid of understanding. Wise people store up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction. The rich man’s wealth is his strong city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
